New Blog Coming Soon!

The Sound Design Diaries is a new blog that I created to explore the creative possibilities and techniques available to musicians that want to approach music composition starting with sound as raw material of their work or that are simply looking at adding unique sonic elements to their music.

While the field of sound design is traditionally approached either from a post-production perspective (sound for films, TV or video games) or focuses specifically on a sound synthesis, The Sound Design Diaries proposes a different approach, where sound is viewed as having the mission of inspiring a musical work and where experimentation is the most important goal of the process of designing sound.

This blog has the word "diaries" in its title because I want to collect my own thoughts, experiences and experiments just like diary entries and, ultimately, it has the goal to inspire sound designers, musicians, and composers to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation in the realm of sound.

I'll cover synthesizers, cassette tapes, field recording, sampling... and I will do this from the perspective of a working composer for film, TV and videos games, as well as the owner of a company that makes virtual instruments for other musicians.

LET ME KNOW WHEN THE SOUND DESIGN DIARIES GOES LIVE
